What is an Aerial Drone Survey?
A drone survey, also known as an aerial survey or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) survey, is a surveying technique that utilizes drones or unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with cameras, LiDAR sensors, and GPS technology to capture aerial imagery and data of a specific area or site.
Our licensed and trained pilots fly these drones over the survey area, capturing high-resolution photographs, videos, or other data. That data is then processed together with ground control stations with known georeferenced coordinates to produce precise 3D digital terrain models (DTM) that can be used for design and engineering.
Drone surveys find various applications, including land mapping, construction site monitoring, environmental assessments, infrastructure inspections, and more.
